Senior Pet Care

“20 is the new 12” plan

We all hope our dogs live as long as Bluey or Bobi. Our senior pet care program is crafted to improve the quality of life for your aging companion, helping them fully enjoy their golden years. With compassionate care and individualized attention, we’re dedicated to supporting you and your senior pet at every stage.

Comprehensive Health Assessments

As pets grow older, they are more prone to age-related health issues such as arthritis, dental problems, and cognitive decline. Our senior pet care program provides regular health evaluations to identify and address potential health concerns early, enabling prompt intervention and effective management.

Tailored Longevity Plan

We understand that senior pets need personalized care tailored to their unique health needs and lifestyle. Our veterinary team collaborates closely with you to create a customized wellness plan that meets your senior pet’s specific needs, including preventive care, nutrition guidance, and exercise recommendations.

Pain Management

Arthritis and other chronic conditions can lead to discomfort and pain in senior pets, affecting their quality of life. Our aim is to maintain your senior pet’s comfort and mobility for as long as possible through thorough pain management, which may include medications and supplements. We can also provide referrals for alternative treatments like acupuncture and physical rehabilitation.

Nutrition

As pets get older, their nutritional needs often shift, making dietary adjustments important for their health and well-being. Our veterinary team offers guidance on selecting the best senior pet food and supplements to support your pet’s ideal body condition and address any age-related health concerns.

Dental Care

Dental disease is particularly common in senior dogs as it develops slowly and can often go unnoticed. Like in humans, dental problems can cause significant pain in dogs. Our aim is to identify and treat dental issues in senior pets to help them live comfortably during their later years. Some senior pets may have additional health conditions that influence the best course of treatment.

Biannual Exams

Regular monitoring and follow-up care are essential for senior pets to observe changes in their health and adjust treatments as needed. We suggest biannual wellness exams for senior pets to evaluate their overall health and proactively manage any new concerns.
