End-of-Life Care

Even though it’s difficult for any of us to talk about End-Of-Life Care, every creature deserves a peaceful farewell.
We provide animal end-of-life services for pets, and we will do everything possible to ensure your beloved companion’s final days are spent in comfort and dignity.
How will I know it is time to say goodbye?
Humane Euthanasia is never an easy decision. We always start with a quality-of-life assessment . Discussing the questions with your veterinarian will give you peace of mind that you have done all that you could for your beloved pet. The hardest part of the end-of-life process is making the decision.
What is the process of euthanizing my pet?
Saying goodbye should be a peaceful process, a time of easing suffering. We make the process as stress-free as possible by reserving a quiet, soothing space to share the final moments with your pet. We begin by giving pain medications to calm and sedate your pet so that they are relaxed and completely unaware of receiving the intravenous injection, which painlessly stops their heart and respiration. We offer clay paw prints and remove a lock of fur as memorial keepsakes.
What are the options for aftercare for my pet’s body?
From beginning to end, we also make arrangements for aftercare, whether it’s individual or communal cremation services. Or you may elect to bury your pet at home. Visit Heavenly Paws to learn more about water-based individual cremation.
